coffee brings people together
Austin Demeter
Founder / Roaster / Educator
Austin Demeter is the founder, roaster, and educator behind Epiphany Coffee. Before coffee became the center of his work, Austin was an inner-city social studies teacher in Minneapolis while pursuing his master’s in education — a background that still shapes Epiphany’s name, light bulb symbol, and belief that coffee should teach.
Austin has 10 years of specialty coffee roasting/barista experience and is an award-winning coffee roaster. He had started in the coffee industry as a production and outreach associate for Backstory Coffee in St. Paul, Minnesota. There he was a part of the startup stages and learned much of what he applies into Epiphany.
He also competed in the U.S. Coffee Championship's Cup Taster's in 2018, and has been a judge for the Brewer's Cup competition in the 2019 and 2022 seasons. Being a part of the process of sending the US's most competent, talented coffee professionals to the world stage is a part of what inspired him to bring those experiences to the Boise area.
Outside of coffee, Austin is a second-generation Greek-American, a goalkeeper for a local soccer team known as the Boise Panthers, a pianist, a stargazer / sunset chaser, and cat dad to Magnus and Rocco.
One quote that continues to inspire him comes from John Dewey:
“Every great advance in humanity has issued from a new audacity of imagination.”
Luke Desrosiers
Videographer / Graphic Designer / Barista
Luke Desrosiers brings creativity, visual storytelling, and a steady sense of adventure to Epiphany Coffee. As a videographer, graphic designer, and barista, Luke helps shape the way people experience Epiphany both online and in person — from the visuals that tell our story to the drinks served across the bar.
He has worked in coffee for five years and brings a strong eye for detail, movement, and atmosphere. Luke loves mountain biking, is an aspiring firefighter, and has a heart for travel — with Thailand standing out as a favorite place he has visited. He is also a proud dog dad.
Whether he is behind a camera, on bar, or out in the mountains, Luke brings curiosity, warmth, and a creative perspective that helps Epiphany feel alive and connected.
Megan Blazinski
Consumer Engagement & Coffee Education Manager
Megan Blazinski supports Epiphany Coffee through social media, digital engagement, coffee education, and the kind of thoughtful communication that helps people feel connected. She develops educational resources and training that make specialty coffee approachable while helping build a community rooted in curiosity. Based in the Minneapolis area, Megan brings six years of coffee experience and a deep appreciation for the community that coffee can create.
She is happiest making coffee for others, loves handwritten notes, and is usually seen with flowers nearby. Her life motto, “Be afraid and do it anyway,” reflects the way she approaches both creativity and connection.
